Who is a Hometown Hero? Simply put, any man or woman in active duty in the armed forces is considered a Hometown Hero!

What is the Hometown Heroes program?  The Hometown Heroes program exists to connect you, the WLGZ listener, with active duty members of the armed forces!  We want our guys and gals serving our country to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers; we want them to know that we support them!  We at WLGZ want to do everthing we can to make it as easy as possible for you to support our troops!  We created Hometown Heroes to facilitate that connection.

Care Packages  WLGZ has partnered with Hope From Home Outreach to make it easy for you to send an affordable Care Package to a soldier.  For a very affordable  (and tax-deductible!) fee, Hope From Home will do it all--obtain the needed supplies, package them up, and ship the care package out to a soldier.  Simply go to the Hope From Home Outreach website.  They have all of the information you need listed there!
