On this Halloween episode of our theme week Haunted History of 5 American Landmarks, we talk about the most haunted ballpark in the country – Wrigley Field! Many security guards at the stadium have reported hearing the phone in the bullpen ring in the middle of the night. This phone is only connected to the dugout – so who’s the phantom caller? They say it’s the ghost of Charlie Grimm, a Cubs manager in the 1930’s and 40’s. One possible reason he still hangs around the stadium is that his ashes were scattered there after his death. Fans also report seeing famed Cubs broadcaster Harry Caray in the press box and in the outfield bleachers ever since his death in 1998. Learn more about the historic stadium in the audio below!
