We’re wrapping up our theme week on Vice Presidents with John Nance Garner, who was VP under President Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1933-1941. Nance also served as a representative from Texas (where he earned his nickname, Cactus Jack), and is one of only 2 politicians to serve as presiding officers of both chambers of Congress, as speaker of the house and Vice President.
