With 27 years of experience, Dr. MacDonald is an award-winning audiologist trusted by the Audiology, Otolaryngology, and Primary Care communities. Before opening his private practice, he spent 15 years at the University of Rochester Medical Center as a Senior Audiologist, leading the Hearing Aid Dispensing and Newborn Hearing Screening programs. He also served as Chair of the New York State Audiology Licensure Board and has been an active board member since 2011.
A Kansas native and graduate of the Wichita State University Audiology program, Dr. Stephany has provided hearing diagnostics, hearing aid fittings, and counseling in private practice since 2015. She brings her experience serving newborns, children, and adults to our growing staff. Before moving to Rochester, Dr. Stephany practiced in Kansas and Colorado.
In her off-hours, Dr. Stephany enjoys doing professional photography and spending time with her husband and family.
Too many people leave big-box stores and HMO programs with hearing aids that don’t actually help — instruments poorly fit, hastily programmed, and backed by indifferent service. MacDonald Audiology sees it every day: patients who spent good money and still can’t hear well, because they were seen by a dealer, not an audiologist.
They built the Peak Hearing™ Program to change that. You get Rochester’s premier audiology clinic, experienced audiologists at every appointment, and top-tier technology — at a price that’s genuinely competitive with the discount alternatives.
You’ll receive P70 or P90 premium hearing instruments — no entry-level compromises. Your fitting comes with a full 1-year in-office service warranty and a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty with loss and damage coverage. Follow-up visits are just $40, often less than a standard insurance copay. They’ll walk you through pairing your hearing aids to your phone and apps, and connect you directly with the manufacturer’s Help Hotline for fast support. Every step follows clinical best practice guidelines, including Real Ear Measurement verification.
You know better than anyone how much clearer life sounds with the right hearing care. Now you can help someone you love experience that same difference — and be rewarded for it.
Here’s how it works:
As a MacDonald Audiology hearing aid patient, simply ask for a referral card at your next appointment. Hand it to a friend or family member who could benefit from better hearing. When they come in to see our audiology team, the card gets added to your patient file — and you earn 5% off your next hearing aid purchase. Your savings are valid for up to 5 years from the date on the card, so there’s no rush. Ask for your referral card at your next visit — because great hearing is worth sharing.
Referral cards are non-transferable and applicable to new hearing aid purchases only.
