2025 Rochester River Run/Walk 5K

The River Run/Walk 5K is an annual fundraiser sponsored by Friends of Strong Memorial Hospital and the hospital’s organ transplant teams.  All proceeds directly benefit transplant patients.

Your support and participation in the Rochester River Run will help hundreds of patients who come to Strong for heart, liver, kidney or pancreas transplant, and are often in need of financial assistance while awaiting and recovering from transplant surgery. All proceeds from the Rochester River Run go toward helping our patients pay for incidental costs associated with the lifelong care transplant necessitates, such as life-saving medications and travel expenses. In addition to costly medical treatment, the need to travel – for some a great distance – adds financial strain on patients and their families.

You can run or walk in-person at Genesee Valley Park or participate virtually from any location you choose. Children are welcome to attend this family-friendly event. Remember to pre-register by 11:59 p.m. Saturday, April 12 to receive the pre-registration rate of $35! Registration increases to $40 at 12:00 a.m. day-of race on Sunday, April 13.
